What does God want you to do?

Our goal for this year is to be intentional about discipleship.  So, I started a ladies bible study at the house.  Who are you going to disciple? (2 Timothy 2:2).  Who is discipling you?  There's always someone who knows more than you and someone who knows less than you!  Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations.."  Jesus had disciples, who had disciples...

We must be a disciple of God's Word.  We are ALL to read His Word.  Some are preachers, some are teachers, but we all have a spiritual gift and a purpose.  If you don't know what your motivational gift is, do a Bible Study on it (ask me for this study if you need it).  Chip Ingram has great teachings on motivational gifts also.  What do you think your gift is?

Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17.  God's Word is so good and useful for so many different things like this verse states.  It teaches us doctrine.  If I read my Bible to learn doctrine then I can more effectively lead people to Christ and answer their questions.  It is used for reproof, meaning "to find fault".  His Word shows us our sins.  And then it corrects us.  This has happened in my life numerous times!  The Bible gives us instructions in righteousness.  The BIBLE acronym stands for "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth".  The Bible tells us how to live!  How awesome is that!  I need this:)  Some examples of this are Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind.." and Ephesians 5, "walk in love."  Etc.
The Bible does all this so we will be "perfect and thoroughly furnished unto good works..."

A house with no furniture in it can't do a whole lotta good.  You can't have someone over to sit down and eat because there is no table or chair.  We are the temple of God and God desires that we are furnished spiritually to serve others in the ministry that He he has called us to do.

God's Word will teach you so you will be equipped to do good works...to do what He has called you to do.  Read Ephesians 2:10.  However, you must be in tune with Him and be reading His Word faithfully to hear His sweet voice speak to you.  Jesus has so much to tell you, don't miss out.

Do you know what God wants you to do?  Has He told you?  What do you think you are created for?  Are you doing it?  Read Ephesians 4:1-16.
