I wanted to share something my husband wrote for our church family. I thought it had a great lesson in it you would enjoy reading. Here it is from my hubby:

I pray that you and your family are well and daily walking with the Lord.  What an exciting time it is to be a Christian. God has chosen you as a vessel of honor.  He wants to use your life in the dark days of our world. You are essential to the Lord and His Church.  Romans 12:1 reads,

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.”

Offer your life here on earth to the Lord.  There is nothing more valuable than serving the Lord.  God isn’t looking for great people or successful people.  God is looking for FAITHFUL people. The Bible reveals much about faithfulness.  We know that God is faithful but we are expected to be faithful. The Bible uses the word faithful 78 times.  Some familiar verses about faithfulness are...

1 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV)
Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou
into the joy of thy lord.

Luke 16:10 (KJV)
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

God can use a faithful Christian. Webster defines faithful as “steady in affection or allegiance.”  Did you know that you can be faithful?  Ask the Lord today to develop you into a faithful servant.

God is also searching for AVAILABLE people.  It is easy to be busy in our modern society. The hustle and bustle of life can rob our availability to God.  We don’t plan to leave God out of our plans, but we are just too preoccupied with our lives. When I think about being available to God my mind goes to Moses.  He was tending to the flock when he saw a burning bush. He stopped what he was doing to see what was going on. In Exodus 3:4 we read “And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] I.”  Moses became available to God when he paused to see what was happening.  All God needs is a pause so He can speak into our lives. Have you paused from the busy life you are living to make yourself available to God?

Finally, God is in need of TEACHABLE Christians.  There are many Christian that know too much. They have learned how to do this and do that in the Church.  Frankly they don’t need God because they know it all. I heard a great statement once, “God isn’t looking to call the qualified but to qualify the called.”  It is better to know little when it comes to serving God. When we know how little we know then we become teachable and eager to learn. We can all learn something.  Let’s stay teachable.

Amen honey!
