November Specials

Hey y'all!  I hope you are enjoying the pretty leaves like I am.  I love fall and everything that goes with it.  I love the pumpkins, the squash, the apple cider and cinnamon pumpkin spices in everything.  I like to drink hot herbal tea this time of year and put either peppermint, cinnamon, nutmeg, bergamot or orange oil in it. I wanted to let you in on the Young Living specials for November.  I am enjoying all my free oils from last months special!   The first one is  Christmas Spirit oil:  This oil blend contains prange, cinnamon bark and spruce oils.  Spruce is superb for the lungs.  You can even use it as a suppository for lung issues that you are ready to get rid of.  Spruce is also good emotionally for grounding and balance.  It is used in the popular blend Valor. The second one is  Ginger oil:    This one is great for traveling, especially if you are prone to getting carsick or nauseous.  Are you traveling for the holidays coming up?  You may want ginger:)  Ging

What makes a godly woman?

My husband preached tonight on the qualities of a godly woman, so I thought I would share.  A godly woman is: 1. A good manager (Proverbs 31:11, Luke 8:3)  Be a good manager of your time and your money.  Manage your money so well that your husband will not worry that you will spend all the money he has made.  You have the freedom to be industrious and make money and manage it well for the betterment  of your family. 2. A positive influence (Proverbs 31:12, 14:1)  Be the thermostat of the room and determine the atmosphere of your home or your workplace.  Women have great influence.  Have you ever heard the saying, "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."?   3. Diligent in her purpose (Acts 16:14-15)  Don't be lazy OR be a busybody.  Work with a purpose and a plan.  The woman in Proverbs considered a field and bought it.  She had a plan.  4. Prepared and equipped for every task (Proverbs 31:17)  Take care of your body and your health so you can take car

Anger and cabbage boiling over

Tonight I was cleaning up after supper while listening to a good sermon on the radio.  After it went off the house was quiet and I was scraping off the stove top where water had boiled over.  I thought to myself what a hard job it was to clean the stove top just because water boiled over while I was cooking cabbage.  When the water hit the hot stove top it turned black.  I was able to clean it all off, but I thought about how much easier it would have been if I would have never let the cabbage boil over.   Same thing with my anger .  Earlier that night I had envisioned a nice family time together with rest afterward.  However, things didn't go as planned .  I became ill because I was hungry and tired...not a good combination.  I let my anger boil over onto my husband and I spewed at him with hot words.  I made myself a mess to clean up.  I "burnt" him just like the boiling water burned the stove top.  I had to go back and humbly apologize to him and ask for his forg

October Specials

Happy Fall! I hope you are all well!  If you're not, don't hesitate to ask me how to use your oils to make you well:)  The three free oils for October are Cinnamon Bark, Orange and Nutmeg. Cinnamon Bark:  This smells good, tastes good and is SO GOOD for you! You can put 1 drop in whipped cream on top of your pumpkin pie or hot cocoa.  Try adding it to banana bread.  Make your own Ninxia Red slushy with 1 drop of cinnamon oil in 1/2 cup of slushy.  You can diffuse this to smell like Fall and help with colds.  This oil is in Thieves, Abundance, Christmas Spirit and Exodus 2.  Cinnamon oil inhibits the growth of toxins which could lead to liver cancer.  It's anti-inflammatory.  It helps fight e coli, listeria, salmonella which are food poisoning.  It helps inhibit the molds in peanuts and other foods.  It is very preventative for your stomach lining.  It's antiviral (hepatitis) and helps circulation.  It eliminates intestinal parasites.  It does all this while tasting
