His Divine Power

Standing in the kitchen overwhelmed I thought to myself, "I can't do this.  I don't have what it takes to be a wife, a Mom of three boys, a Pastor's wife, a home schooling teacher, a chef and a maid..."

Immediately the Holy Spirit reminded me of 2 Peter 1:3, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue"

The Holy Spirit so sweetly spoke to my heart to remind me that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13).  He reminded me that His Power has given me all I need to live life...and not just life but a godly life.

This power of God is given to us through knowledge of Him.  "A living participation in the truth".  Accessing the Word of God and the promises of God and applying them to our lives.

How do we obtain the knowledge of God?  By reading the Bible, memorizing Scripture, going to church, reading books to help us understand the Bible.

2 Peter 1:4 says, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

We partake of the divine nature through His precious promises.  When we say, "I can't." God says, "You can."  When we say, "I'm alone."  God says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

2 Corinthians 3:18, " But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Access God's power this week through clinging to His precious promises.  Say them out loud.  Faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God.
